French Club

Since September ‘09, each year group in K.S.2 has been studying French for one hour each week. Following our very successful “French Day” in the Autumn term, during which we learned about, and tried for ourselves, various aspects of French culture, it was decided to form a French club at Spring Hill.
French Club is held every Monday morning, from 8.00am. till 8.50am. Each year group has the opportunity to attend six weekly sessions of French Club.

Some of the activities we have enjoyed are:

• French boules
• French cooking
• Computer games with a French theme
• Activities based on a French fairy tale
• A P.E. lesson with instructions given in French      
• Building the Eiffel Tower from match sticks! 

Sharing a French breakfast together has proved especially popular!
