Mr Haworth telling us what to do

Following the success of the 2006 campaign, we were inviting to take part in the Myasthenia Gravis Association's anual Plant-a-bulb event which, this year offers a choice of narcissus or crocus to be planted within the school grounds.

The project is also linked to regional ad national competitions for the improvement of school grounds. Nationally the winning school will receive £1000 in gardening vouchers.

Our year 2 pupils helped with process of planting the 400 bulbs, everybody who took part really enjoyed themselves even though it was a little cold.

We planted the bulbs in our new outdoor seating area. When spring arrives we will be able to enjoy them.

Planting the bulbs

The entire school will be able to enjoy the benefits of this event. However, our year 2 classes, who learn about living things and plant life in science really will feel the benefits when the bulbs grow into beautiful flowers in spring.

Well done year 2 , you did a fantastic job!
