HOMEWORK
Homework is given out every Friday. It is then collected every Monday. It is important for your child to complete his/her homework as it reinforces what we have covered in class.
Ongoing homework every week:
Reading – please ensure your child reads regularly at home, for at least 30 minutes. Your child should then complete their reading journal about the books they read (found in their homework diaries), and you can also ask them questions about their books.
Maths – practice all the times tables facts (up to the 10 times table) so that your child is able to recall them off by heart. It is also important for them to know the associated division facts that are related to the times tables.
e.g. 6 x 7 = 42 7 x 6 = 42
42 ÷ 7 = 6 42 ÷ 6 = 7
