Trips and Visits

To allow our children to experience learning outside the classroom, we have carefully planned our enhancement and enrichment activities to run alongside our curriculum. During their time at Spring Hill, children will experience both in school and out of school experiences, along the way, engaging with adults in various careers and jobs roles. We aim to provide children with opportunities to widen their future aspirations through enragement with a wide range of career focused individuals. Our children will have the opportunities to experience places which will help deepen their knowledge and understanding of the curriculum area they are studying, as well as ensuring all pupils at Spring Hill are engaging with the holistic experiences we believe every child should have.

Football Against Racism- Accrington Stanely Football Club came into school to discuss racism in sport with Upper Key Stage 2. They held workshops to share with the children about how footballers have made a stance against racism by taking the knee. The children had some great questions to ask and enjoyed the sessions.

Rocksteady Music Workshop

We welcomed Rock Steady  to Spring Hill. They performed to the whole school and then worked with smaller groups to show them how rock bands work and the different musical instruments used within a rock band. the children had lots of fun joining in with the sessions and taking turns playing the instruments. There was lots of noise but it was great!
